In response to the outbreak of the the pandemic worldwide and the urgent need of the availability of Hand Sanitisers, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) issued a notice for the exemption of Sales License’s for Hand Sanitiser’s. This notice states that the drug named Hand Sanitiser will be exempted from the prerequisite of sale license for stocking or sale under the provisions of of Chapter IV of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 subject to other conditions. This order will come into force from 27th July, 2020.
