To train the CDSCO inspectors on audit regulations and develop regulatory framework, the global safety science organization Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has recently signed up as a knowledge partner to the West Zone of CDSCO. Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Silvassa comes under the CDSCO West Zone. The online training courses which is designed on international regulatory guidelines, will give and improve the CDSCO inspectors on GMP for both Pharma and Medical Devices.
As a start 10 officials to be get trained on 40 online modules by UL EduNeering, the lead of this initiative. The managing director and vice president of UL South Asia, Suresh Sugavanam expressed his happiness on seeing the increase in quality awareness in the country said, “We will continue our focus on quality which is based on expertise in this sector.” The Indian drug standardization compliance and their regulatory framework should meet the international regulatory standards to maintain the competitive advantage.
