The latest World Bank report states that India had move forward 12 places in ease of doing business list is a remarkable growth considering the size of the economy. Last year India ranked 142 and now it has moved to 130 out of the 189 countries. World Bank’s Chief Economist and Senior Vice President Kaushik Basu said to PTI, “A forward movement of 12 spots in the ease of doing business by an economy of the size of India is a ‘remarkable achievement. Of the other South East Asian countries China ranks 90 and Pakistan ranks 138. India has implemented two new reforms last year. In its “Doing Business 2016” report World Bank states India takes 29 days to start a new business in India. India has eliminated the physical stamp system with online system for value added tax registrations in 2010. Last year paid-in minimum capital requirement and need to obtain a certificate has been eliminated which made the process of starting business in India streamlined.
